RPI Honors Ashlee Green with Pamela Sabin Recognition Champion Award

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA – Aug. 20, 2021 – Recognition Professionals International (RPI) honored Ashlee Green, CRP, senior manager, Verizon, and RPI board director, with the Pamela Sabin Recognition Champion Award. The award was presented during the recent Incentive Marketing Association - IMA Summit Awards program.

The award was presented by Theresa Harkins-Schulz, CRP, RPI board director, who stated that she has personally seen Ashlee demonstrate patience, persistence and passion while growing recognition, incentive and reward programs. Green was nominated by her team at Verizon. “Her enthusiasm for employee recognition is positively infectious,” Kristen Wilkes, manager program and project management, said. “Ashlee is an advocate for our programs and the importance that recognition brings to employee happiness and retention. She shows proven ROI and business cases that help support and show the benefits of recognition in terms of retaining employees,” Wilkes added.

Green models RPI Best Practice Standards® in all she does. She secures buy-in from key stakeholders, then holds them accountable to support objectives and initiatives that drive revenue for the business. Green and her team monitor progress daily, weekly and monthly and regularly conduct surveys and focus groups to gain stakeholder feedback to fine-tune future programs. One of her recent successes involved a program that allows directors, senior managers and supervisors immediate access to on-the spot-recognition. Employees were excited about the immediate recognition and leadership was pleased to have a new and easy way to recognize performance and behaviors tied to their results.

The Recognition Champion Award was named in honor of Pamela Sabin, a founding member of RPI, a charter member of the Board of Directors, and a true champion of employee recognition. The Recognition Champion Award honors people who exemplify the qualities of a recognition champion by:

  • Displaying leadership in taking the initiative to spread the message throughout their organization.
  • Exhibiting passion in promoting the principles of recognition by addressing and/or overcoming obstacles.
  • Creating programs and initiatives that demonstrate an on-going commitment to recognition practices including measurement.
  • Demonstrating a commitment and serving as a role model for recognition practices in word and delivery.
