IMA & Strategic Industry Groups Honor Five Outstanding Volunteers with Spirit Awards

Cindy Mielke, Gabriel Resendez, Lore Rincon, Lorraine Tillie and Tonda Ferguson were recognized for industry-leading work and contributions of time and talent.


Salt Lake City, Utah – July 13, 2022 – The Incentive Marketing Association (IMA), which advocates for and promotes the use of incentives and recognition to improve business performance, took time during the IMA Summit 2022 this week to recognize the organization’s outstanding volunteers with Spirit Awards. The IMA’s five Strategic Industry Groups (SIGs) each recognized one of their member volunteers for their time and contributions toward furthering the organization. 

Spirit Award recipients are selected based on having made an important contribution to the IMA and the SIG through their volunteerism and for how they have exemplified the mission of the IMA and the SIG.

Incentive & Engagement Solution Providers (IESP) 

Cindy Mielke, CPIM, vice president, strategic partnerships, Tango Card

Mielke was a founding member of the IESP and was instrumental in its formation and growth. She is committed to IESP’s success and is always willing to fill whatever role is needed. She is the creator of IESP’s three pillars (Brand Awareness, Education, & Thought Leadership) and its new “BET On Success” slogan.

Incentive Gift Card Council (IGCC)

Gabriel Resendez, manager - gift cards and strategic partnerships Darden Restaurants, Inc.

Resendez’s colleagues value his collaborative spirit and how he always delivers more than what was expected. He is easy to work with and is a welcoming ambassador for the IGCC when he speaks at webinars and educational sessions.

Incentive Merchandise To Reward & Appreciate (IMRA)

Lore Rincon, sales manager, Continental Premium Corporation

Rincon is passionate and enthusiastic about the association, the industry and the people. She is caring, thoughtful and always willing to offer her support. Rincon actively helps raise awareness of IMRA and the benefits of merchandise incentives by speaking at conferences.

Incentive Travel Council (ITC)

Lorraine Tillie, senior manager, national accounts, Travel + Leisure Co.

Tillie is always positive, cheerful and always willing to step in and help when needed. She is an ambassador for ITC membership and actively networks across the IMA to connect incentive travel with other industry sectors.

Recognition Professionals International (RPI)

Tonda Ferguson

Ferguson’s experience, tireless commitment, and passion for the advancement of RPI helped guide the organization to a bright new future as a part of the IMA. She is a fearless leader and expert communicator who has helped RPI navigate the pandemic and emerge as a stronger, more stable organization that delivers member value.
