Qualifications for IMRA Membership

IMRA is a Strategic Industry Group (SIG) within the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA). An IMA membership is a pre-requisite of memberhip in IMRA. Click here for information about IMA and membership opportunitites.

In addition to being a member in good standing of IMA, with all of it's benefits and privileges, the following critera is to be met for each of the membership catagories of IMRA Membership:

Representatives  Join IMRA

  • shall as a function of its business, engage in the representation of incentive products of Manufacturers/National Marketing Companies (NMCs);
  • shall represent at least one (1) IMRA manufacturer member and/or NMC and/or promotional products supplier on a territorial, account, or mutually agreeable defined basis;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing. International Representatives
  • shall have their primary business address located within the United States;
  • shall as a function of its business, engage in the representation of incentive products of Manufacturers/National Marketing Companies (NMCs);
  • shall represent at least one (1) IMRA manufacturer member and/or NMC and/or promotional products supplier on mutually agreeable defined basis;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

Manufacturers / Suppliers

  • shall sell products in the incentive marketplace through persons or firms qualifying for representative membership in a majority of the territories in which it distributes incentive products;
  • shall work with three (3) or more IMRA Representative members;
  • shall enter into written contracts or issues letters of hire that outline the terms and conditions of such representation;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

National Marketing Company (NMC)

  • shall handle the exclusive national marketing and sales rights to the incentive field for two or more Manufacturers/Suppliers;
  • shall sell products in the incentive marketplace through persons or firms qualifying for representative membership in a majority of the territories in which it distributes incentive products;
  • shall work with three (3) or more IMRA Representative members;
  • shall enter into written contracts or issues letters of hire that outline the terms and conditions of such representation;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

Manufacturer/Supplier via an NMC

  • shall be represented in the incentive market by an IMRA NMC Member;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

Press

  • shall offer online and/or print editorial content on incentive marketing;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

Technology/Resource Provider

  • shall provide technology services and/or resources (i.e. consulting, etc.) for the incentive channel / or business in general;
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

Partner

  • shall be an individual, firm or corporation not eligible for any other category of membership in the Alliance;
  • shall be actively engaged in providing services associated with the general advancement of the incentive industry or profession specifically:
    • the sponsorship of trade shows/exhibitions; or
    • the provision of consulting services consistent with the goals of the IMRA SIG to advance the incentive industry or profession.
  • shall be sponsored in writing by one or more IMRA members in good standing;
  • annual IMRA primary company membership dues are $250, entitling the primary holder to one (1) vote within IMRA.

Associate

  • shall be an employee of a qualified IMRA Member company in the above catagories;
  • shall devote a majority of his or her professional activity to incentive industry matters;
  • a member in good standing of IMA with all of it's benefits and privileges
  • annual IMRA associate membership dues are $125 per person.
